  HEAD COACH BILL FERGUSON

Bill Ferguson, the former head men's volleyball coach at the University of Southern California, has been named as Wake Forest's head women's volleyball coach.

Ferguson joins the Demon Deacons after a year as the women's volleyball assistant coach at Cal State-Los Angeles. He was also a TV analyst on volleyball broadcasts in the ACC, Big 12 and Conference USA.

From 2005 to 2015 Ferguson served as the head men's volleyball coach at the University of Southern California, compiling a record of 150-102. He led the Trojans to three NCAA volleyball Final Fours and a pair of runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2012. He was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2012.

Ferguson's teams won two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation regular season titles and one MPSF Tournament championship. He coached a pair of National Players of the Year in Murphy Troy and Tony Ciarelli.

A founding director of the Southern California Volleyball Club, Ferguson has an extensive club volleyball coaching resume. As a club coach, Ferguson has coached boys and girls and men's open club teams to 13 USA Volleyball gold medals and has won more boys club championships than any other coach in the country. His boys club teams reached the USA Junior National Volleyball Championships for five straight years from 2010-15.

Ferguson began his coaching career in 1991 at the club level and won multiple national championships. He became a men's assistant volleyball coach at Southern Cal in 1996 and landed the nation's number one recruiting class in his first year.

In 1999, Ferguson was named the head coach of the volleyball program at the Los Angeles Athletic Club and that year his men's team won the U.S. Open National Championship. LAAC repeat as national open champions in 2001 before Ferguson opened the Southern California Volleyball Club later that year.

Ferguson and his wife Brenn, who was a collegiate volleyball player at Washington State and UCLA, are the parents of a daughter, Blake.
